EZMR accounting reference to a Work Order TaskEZMR > Cart > Accounting backgrounding of Work Order Task backgrounds the Task accounting into EZMR. The accounting goes to the Material Request and the Material Request items. If the Task accounting contained references to itself in the Reference_Type, Reference_Nbr, Reference_Sub_Nbr fields, these are maintained. EZMR does not forward the Work Order Task to the Material Request header reference fields. For example the MR will not be processed by Dynamic Update of Dates (DUD) processing. EZMR documentation, bd3_rig_b739.pdf page 4-23, does say it can be done, but explicit processing was determined to work better, ie, we couldn't get it to work. dbAlias in alternate1Parms matches entry in webMethods\\server\...\region\IntegrationServer\packages\EasyMR\config\alternate1Parms.xml By webmaster | EasyMR, aka EZMR | add new comment
Motorola MC9190-G with Windows CE, aka Windows Mobile 6.0, working with AWIInstalled Windows CE for the sole purpose of getting the best possible QVGA display of AWI. AWI hosted on Citrix XenApp. Citrix Receiver 10.06 or 11.5. Motorola DataWedge 3.1. (Could not get DataWedge 3.3 to install although manually executing, click DataWedge.exe file, from SDHC card works.) Notes: 1. What scanner is in the MC9190-G? Control Panel > SystemInfo > tab ConfigInfo, entry Scanner. 2. Had strange experience where MC9190-G worked with a 16 GB SDHC card, but not with a 4 GB SDHC card. Could not figure out why. 3. No configuration of "postamble" or similar was done. Intermec CK3 working with AWI via Citrix XenAppIntermec CK3 would not work with Internet Browser applications, eg, AWI, out of the box. For example, open Internet Explorer and go to www.google.com. Place the cursor in the search box and barcode something in. What we want is for the searching to execute immediately without further user input. What happened is that the cursor remained at the end of the search string and nothing happened. The user must hit enter for the search to start. This same behaviour was occuring with AWI. Intermec CK3 software versions determined by using Internet Explorer on: \windows\itcbrowser.htm which displays something like the following: Lots of Postamble values were attempted via Intermec Settings > Data Collection > Internal Scanner > Symbology Options > Postamble, eg, \r, \n, \r\n, \n\r, \x09, \x0A, \x0D, \x0A\x0D, were attempted. Was able to get Postamble with Internet Explorer to work by following these two blogs: http://community.intermec.com/t5/General-Development-Developer/TAB-Postamble-on-CK3/td-p/1887 Page down / up with BOT / TOP in action / command boxIt's possible to page down by entering BOT in the action box in the top left of the panel. Page is defined by the number of array rows. BOT will go down 20 pages and present a message similar to: 20 pages scrolled. Current page is 21; page down for more. When BOT hits the last row the message is similar to: 9 pages scrolled. Current page is 50; last page encountered. By webmaster | Portal/J general discussion | add new comment
Installing software on handhelds running Windows MobileThe following was the easiest method of installing software on handhelds. Download software to a PC. Possibly implement software on PC or at least uncompress/unzip. Copy files to a SDHC or micro SDHC card in a SDHC reader plugged into a USB port. Install SDHC card into handheld. Run .cab or .exe file from SDHC card on handheld to install. Another method attempted was emailing files to a gmail account and accessing the gmail account via Internet Explorer on the handheld. For a reason still undetermined, gmail did not allow the attachments to be opened or saved. By webmaster | AnyWare for Inventory, AWI (formerly IndusAnyWare) | add new comment
AWI on handhelds running Windows Mobile 6.5AWI (Portal/J 10.0.7 equivalent) running under Citrix XenApp accessed in browser mode. Problem with screen display. Appears that Citrix display panel is too large for handheld device and the AWI display doesn't fit well. Not positive about this, but the Citrix display size is defined at Citrix farm level, ie, it's the same for all applications launched on XenApp which means it's unlikely to be tailorable specifically for AWI. Older handheld devices, eg, Intermec CK3 with QVGA display running Windows Mobile 6.1, display AWI very well. AWI looks good and with the Citrix display it takes up the whole display. The user has a hard time to get to the Windows desktop. By webmaster | AnyWare for Inventory, AWI (formerly IndusAnyWare) | read more | 4 comments | 7 attachments
