Installing software on handhelds running Windows Mobile

The following was the easiest method of installing software on handhelds.

Download software to a PC. Possibly implement software on PC or at least uncompress/unzip. Copy files to a SDHC or micro SDHC card in a SDHC reader plugged into a USB port. Install SDHC card into handheld. Run .cab or .exe file from SDHC card on handheld to install.

Another method attempted was emailing files to a gmail account and accessing the gmail account via Internet Explorer on the handheld. For a reason still undetermined, gmail did not allow the attachments to be opened or saved.
