Asset Suite / PassPortGeek

BuyDemand 7 for eCommerce Connector, Reference and Implementation Guide ver 6.0., page 2-3 describes how the Asset Suite Unit of Measure (UOM) will be cross referenced to vendor UOM. First it's done by Vendor Code and Suffix, then Vendor, then global.

If Asset Suite has a trading partner such as Enporion and has agreed to use xCBL, then wouldn't it make sense to do the UOM cross reference by first looking for the Trading Partner?

Example: For a Purchase Order the P310 TRANSMIT-TO defines the trading partner on X780. So program tibpoxml.csm paragraph C100-SELECT-UMXRF could first do the following:

*** The Ventyx engineers don't usually miss things like this so it might turn out that this idea won't work or that it should be on the WebMethods Integration Server in a place like IBD2_XCBL30. Will follow up with this. -20090501

It is expected that Invoices will contain the same values.
