Load Testing Asset Suite?

Hello,

Has anyone attempted to drive load/load test Asset Suite? If so, how was this accomplished? Most loadtest tools operate by emulating the client-server network protocol traffic.

When the applet is launched how does it communicate with the server? Is it pure http? Anything proprietary?

It is proprietary, though there is a setting to use http.
You can use Load Runner, though you have to build in some extra scripting to handle the termid that's passed back.
Termid's are what Passport uses for unique sessions.

LR 9.1 Winsock Protocol

We are using LoadRunner 9.1 and the winsock protocol. Not as user friendly as web-- but captures the http send/receives and you can still data drive to a point.
