WorkOrder find service not working for workitem

I am totally new to Asset suite system, I am having problem with WorkOrderService_FindWorkOrder service. When I call this service with input parameter(Facility and WorkItem number), its giving me the Invalid value in field Work Item number error.
Please help me.

Work Item

I recall there being a preference related to whether work items are globally unique or facility qualified, and this preference confuses the service if it is set one way.
