Local Printing problemHi...I've been stumped by a particular user's problem with printing on his PC... Specifically, in PassPort's Action Tracking module, he'll go through the sequence Navigate===> Print ===> Action Request Report..He'll then select an AR number (the PC Printer ID is "LOCAL"), and click the EXECUTE icon. The system gives no error messages, but will immediately completely shut down PassPort and log him out. He can go to a different PC, log in, and print AR's with no problem. I can log in to his PC (I have "ADMIN" rights), and I can print AR's with no problem. I don't think it's a simple ADMIN rights issue, since he was able to print on his PC with no problem up until a week or two ago. Any ideas? PC securityCan the user create and write to this directory on his PC? C:\Documents and Settings\userID\INDUSINT_PJWORK\ This directory should be created, written to, and purged during the printing process. After Portal/J bombs, are there files in this directory? Any other symptoms?
It does sound like a permissions problem on the PC. Is there an ICGenException? Is the PC a Dell OptiPlex 755? What version of Portal/J and Asset Suite are in use?
